CHAMPAGNE BOERL & KROFF VINTAGE 1996

A UNIQUE CHAMPAGNE FOR THOSE WHO WANT THE BEST LIFE HAS TO OFFER.

1)HISTORY AND WINE MAKING

Champagne Boerl and Kroff is made from old vines of the Maison Drappier, the ¡§presidential¡¨ vines which were reserved for General de Gaulle and the Elysees Palace, when he was president of France.

Being situated in the south of the Champagne region, the predominant grape varietal is Pinot Noir. Champagne B&K is a blend of:
-Pinot Noir: 90%
-Chardonnay: 7%
-Pinot Meunier: 3%

Pinot Noir gives our Champagne its smoothness and the very small bubbles as well as the slight pink tint of the Champagne, Chardonnay gives it that crispiness that is a hallmark of Champagne and Pinot Meunier (another black grape) gives it its exceptionally smooth and refreshing end of mouth.

It is technically a white from red. The grapes are organic. 1996 Vintage is one of the best years of the 20th century and the Champagne has been slowly elaborated with constant care and old-fashioned techniques, reducing by 2/3 the quantity of sulphites. It aged slowly for 12 years before being bottled.

2)THE UNIQUE TASTE

On tasting, our Champagne shows very fine bubbles, enabling to distinguish a nose of mature stone fruit, peach and apricot with a hint of quince. In the mouth, it is very well balanced between crispness and smoothness, developing all its flavours in the entire mouth with a long and distinguished finish.

All the care taken to make that Champagne makes it the most expensive in the world for its category.

3)ALL THE DETAILS FOR THE DISCERNING CONNOISSEUR

Attention to details has been paramount to accompany such a wine. B&K is only sold in Magnums, the best size for conservation.

The cork is made of 5 pieces of all natural cork of the best quality (traditional champagne corks are made of 3 pieces), specifically analysed to ensure a 100-year conservation!

The muselet plate that sits on top of the cork is made of 18 Carat gold and is individually numbered as is the bottle itself.

The label is printed on heavy parchment. Each magnum is individually numbered.

The bottle is individually wrapped in an expensive lacquered wooden case, lined with the finest alcantara leather.

Finally, in order to serve our Champagne in the best possible conditions, we have created a special vase in bright pewter from the best French specialist of that metal. Its design, with two skins, guarantees there will not be condensation on the exterior of the vase. That beautiful vase will easily accommodate 3 magnums.

Much more details can be found at the web site: http://www.boerl-and-kroff.com

This Champagne is truly unique and is only available to those who like the best that life has to offer.
